BIO

Born in Madrid, Miguel began his music theory and piano studies and piano at an early age at the Royal Conservatoire. He also earned degrees in Clinical Psychology and Chemistry, before moving to the US to pursue a PhD in Chemistry at the University of Pennsylvania. Miguel is now a professional in the pharmaceutical industry, based in London.

Since his return to piano studies in 2017, Miguel has earned the Associate of the Royal Schools of Music Diploma in 2020, and a Distinction in his Licenciate of Trinity College London Diploma in Piano Performance in 2021 under the guidance and mentorship of Graham Fitch. Miguel's piano has been retrofitted with a 6-inch octave keyboard, which is the piano Miguel played in his video submission for his Licenciate Diploma. This makes it possibly the first time that an accredited qualification has been obtained on a stretto piano. Miguel's story has been featured on the Trinity website and can be found here https://www.trinitycollege.com/about-us/success-stories/Miguel
