BIO

Selwyn, 8

Following bigger brother’s footstep, Selwyn was delighted to have the chance to begin piano lessons with Murray McLachlan, aged 6. Shortly after he entered Chetham’s School of Music, studying piano with Kathryn Page. Selwyn feels externally lucky to be able to explore the traditions of  singing quality of piano tone, the infinite palette of colours of lyrical phrasing, and the genuinely poetic touches with both his teachers.

After winning the 1st prize in Scherzo Competition Tel-Aviv for the Contemporary music - Young category in 2021, Selwyn was honoured to perform at the Royal Albert Hall. Selwyn then became the winner of third place in the first repertoire range at XXX International Piano Festival Chopin’s Mazovia in 2022.

Stanley, 11

Stanley has always enjoyed music and started learning the piano at the age of 7 with Murray McLachlan. Stanley is now studying piano at Chetham of Music in Manchester with Kathryn Page. Competitions, performances and summer schools are Stanley’s favourites where he is able to be indulged in exceptionally sensitive and supportive masterclasses by inspiring pianists from all over the world.

At the age of 10, Stanley achieved Grade 8 in Piano with 91 marks out of 100. In 2023, Stanley took part in VII Future Stars International Piano Competition by the Connecticut Chopin Foundation, and he became the winner of 4th prize.
